TAKE DOWN POLICY

The Daily Campus, SMU Look and SMU-TV will consider requests to remove content from stories produced and published by our staff. We evaluate all removal requests based on legal, safety, and factual considerations. Our editorial team believes altering and/or removing published content would disservice our audience by preventing accurate documentation of events as they unfold and could damage our credibility as we strive to be fair to all. We are committed to maintaining the integrity of our reporting and preserving the historical record. Factual errors will be corrected promptly with a clearly marked editor’s note. All content changes and removal decisions are made at the discretion of student media editors in consultation with faculty advisors. Our goal is to find a way to honor requests and maintain student media credibility.
